Native Food Sovereignty teacher

Sheyla Evelyn Cordero Sanchez, Huancaína by birth, with academic training in Agronomic Engineering from the National University of Central Peru (UNCP), with professional experience as a technical assistant for INIA projects, which served as a stimulation to continue working on projects related to Food security. She also has experience working with indigenous and native communities in the central area of Peru. She feels identified by Saphichay’s mission because food security is the base for improving the quality of life of children and young people in the area and this in turn is closely linked to the native language and cultural identity due to the ancestral knowledge that is had and that is being lost because of the little use of the native language and the forgetting of ancestral customs.
